A School Built onCompassion

Tabitha Academic School is a formally registered school with a very special calling. While we operate as a legitimate learning institution, our core mission is to ensure that the children of imprisoned parents never lose access to education.

When a parent is incarcerated, their children often fall through the cracks, pulled out of school, struggling at home, left without stability. Tabitha exists to be that stability.

To keep the school running and to care for even more children, families from the surrounding community also bring their children to learn with us. This partnership is what makes Tabitha sustainable, a community investing in each other.

"No child should pay the price for their parent's mistakes. At Tabitha, every child who walks through our gates is welcomed, valued, and taught. No questions asked."

🏫 Children of Prisoners
We currently care for over 40 children whose parents are incarcerated. They receive full schooling, meals, and pastoral support, completely free of charge.
🤝 Community Children
Local families enroll their children alongside the prisoners' kids. The school fees they contribute go directly towards upkeep, salaries, and resources for all learners.
📋 Registered & Accountable
Tabitha is a fully registered school, meeting government standards. Every donation is used transparently for education, meals, and child welfare.
🌱 Holistic Support
Beyond academics, we provide emotional support and a sense of family to children navigating the trauma of having a parent in prison.

Ongoing Projects

01
Classroom Expansion
We are currently raising funds to build ten additional classrooms to accommodate growing enrolment. As word spreads, more families, especially those with incarcerated parents, are seeking places for their children. We need more space.
In Progress
02
Library & Books Corner
We are working to build a small but well-stocked reading corner for our learners. Books donated or purchased through this project will serve every child in the school for years to come.
In Progress
03
Parent Re-entry Programme
We are developing a programme to support children whose parents are due to be released, helping families reunite well and ensuring children's education is not disrupted during this transition.
